Claudio Ranieri made a victorious return to the Premier League after Leicester City opened their campaign with an emphatic win over Sunderland at King Power Stadium on Saturday
The Foxes were quick out of the traps and found themselves three goals ahead at half-time thanks to Jamie Vardy's early strike and Riyad Mahrez's double. Jermain Defoe pulled one back for Dick Advocaat's side mid-way through the second half but Marc Albrighton bagged a fourth for Leicester soon after.
With 20 minutes remaining, Steven Fletcher narrowed the deficit, but, despite a late onslaught, Ranieri's men held on and ultimately proved too strong for the Black Cats.
