No Barcelona bid for Celta star Nolito

Thegoalmac has learned that Celta Vigo have yet to receive any offer from Barcelona for Nolito.

It had been reported in Spain that the Blaugrana had made a move to re-sign their former B team player, with fellow forward Pedro set to join Manchester United.

However, Goal has learned that Celta know nothing of any official bid from Barca, with whom they enjoy a good relationship.

The Galicians also made it clear that they have no need to sell the 28-year-old following the summer departures of Santi Nina and Joaquin Larrivey for Valencia and Baniyas, respectively.

Furthermore, Celta are adamant they will not accept a cut-price deal for Nolito and that any interested party would have to pay the Spain international's €18 million buy-out clause.

Nolito spent three seasons with Barca's B team before moving to Benfica in 2011, after being afforded just two Liga outings by the Blaugrana's senior squad.

The versatile attacker returned to La Liga 18 months later, joining Granada on a six-month loan deal before moving to Celta on a permanent deal at the end of the 2012-13 season.
