The 2015/2016 premier League season kicked off on the 8th August 2015 with matches being played across most of the grounds in the country and finally the wait and craving for a new football season is here.

There were some very entertaining matches played on the opening day of the season and with most of the African imports proving there worth and how vital they would be for there respective teams in the course of the season.

Here we take a look at some of the players and assessing how they can light up the premier league this season.
RIYAD MAHREZ
Riyad mahrez is an Algerian footballer that plies his trade with Leicester city football club, he plays mostly from the middle of the park and can be deployed on the wings also, great vision, quick feet, an excellent left foot and great ball striking ability are his Forte.

YANNICK BOLASIE
The DR Congo man is a real talent and time and time he’s proven it, he plays for Crystal Palace football club and he’s endeared himself to the selhurst Park faithful with his dribbles, dynamic wing play, mazy runs and excellent ball delivery. 

He’s always a joy to watch on a good day and his importance can be seen to the team as a whole, he alone single handedly terrorized spur’s defense at white Hart Lane last season, such kind of performance had him being tipped for the premier league team of the season (last season) and also highly coveted by other teams in the premier league.

Yannick is truly one of the African players to watch out for again in the new 2015/2016 season.

SADIO MANE
Not much was known about the man with the weird hairstyle when he first debuted for Southampton football club last season but during the course of the season he put in some very great performances that made Southampton a team many feared even topping the league table for some few weeks.

The highlight of his performance last season was scoring the fastest hat trick in the premier league history in two minutes and fifty three seconds against Aston Villa.

He’s numerous assist and goals he’s popped up with will be a key factor for Southampton’s push for another European spot for the second season running.
He’s definitely a team player.

ANDRE AYEW
Son of the legendary Ghanaian Footballer Abedi Pele Ayew, and just like his father debuted for his country at a very tender age and has being at two world Cup finals.

He’s a very good footballer who possess all the attributes of a modern day attacker, pace, trickery, excellent first touch and ball control, great goal conversion rate and a deadly left foot which he made visible to all with the way he took his first goal for Swansea city football in their first game of the season against Chelsea football club.

Despite joining on a free he’s proven to be a great and ideal signing for Swansea city football club and it’s so certain he’s going to light up the 2015/2016 league season just like he’s done on his maiden debut.


ODION IGHALO
The much travelled Nigerian who now plays for Watford football club was one of the best players in the English championship last season helping his team to an automatic promotion to the premier league for the 2015/2016 season.

He’s already showing what should be expected of him from the premier league defense with the well taken striker’s goal against Everton Football club and was a nuisance for the last quarter of an hour that he was on the pitch.

He’ll be looking to make bigger impression in subsequent matches and also be among the goals week in week out and with such performance Watford football club can rely on him if the are to avoid the drop.
