Swansea manager Garry Monk has heaped praise on new signing Andre Ayew after the Ghana international scored on his Premier League debut against Chelsea.
Ayew, who arrived in Wales from Marseille on a free transfer, netted the visitors' first equaliser in Saturday's 2-2 draw at Stamford Bridge.
"He's come in and he's been incredible," Monk told reporters.
"He's worked extremely hard with the group, the group have worked hard with him to get him settled and it's always good for a new player when you come into a new league - even though we knew he has great quality - to get that first goal. It will give him great confidence."
Swans captain Ashley Williams, meanwhile, believes the draw will give his side as much confidence as last season's opening-day victory over Manchester United despite the fact they could not capitalise on Thibaut Courtois' red card to earn all three points.
"It doesn't have the same feel as last year at Old Trafford, but it's a similar sort of performance," Williams told the club's official website. "It gives us a lot of confidence.
"When the fixtures came out, everyone thought this would be the most difficult fixture, but we turned it around today and showed we’re ready for this season."
He added: "I felt that we had the better chances in the match, so it's a pleasing day for us. We could've won it, but we don't want to get carried away.
"In the first half we did well - they posed us a few problems, but we looked to fix that at half-time. We came out in the second half and really pressed them. Our tempo was high, then the goalkeeper got sent off and we smelt blood."
