Crystal Palace manager Alan Pardew has warned Tottenham they will need to pay a significant fee to sign Yannick Bolasie - and insists even interest from Real Madrid would not affect the player's attitude.
Speculation over the winger's future mounted on Saturday when Pardew left him on the bench for the 3-1 victory over Norwich.
But the former Newcastle boss explained that Bolasie had only trained for three days and was not ready to go straight into the starting XI.
"It will need a lot of money from [Tottenham chairman] Daniel Levy," Pardew told reporters of a potential move to White Hart Lane.
"Let's put one thing straight, Yannick Bolasie is the nicest kid in the world. Real Madrid couldn't turn his head, he just does his work.
"He had three days training, I couldn't put him in as much as I wanted to. He gives us that X-factor, he excites me and I like watching him play.
"We were pleased he made a small contribution and it will be much bigger as it goes along."
